Where: | St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 600 Colorado Avenue (off Middlefield), Palo Alto Google Maps link to St. Mark's available here; you can use it for driving or transit directions. Driveway entrance is easy to miss. It's about halfway between Byron and Gaspar, a block and a half from Middlefield. TRANSIT: The VTA 21 bus has a stop at Colorado and Middlefield, a block and a half away. The busline runs in time to get you there but stops running before the dance ends. If you need a ride back to CalTrain/PA Transit center after the dance we can organize one. |
When: | 7:45-10:00 p.m., second Fridays, September through November, and January through July. (Doors open 7:15, dancing at 7:45, please arrive early to check-in.) |
COVID Safety: | Our coproducing partners, BACDS, have established these requirements for attendance. Please read bacds.org/COVID/ for current status and safety requiremetns. Summary (but please read at link above): Must be fully vaccinated (including one booster), no recent positive test, no symptoms, not live with anyone who has a recent positive test or symptoms, promise to tell us if you test positive withina week after the event, provide contact info so we can notify you if there was a potential exposure. At dance, must remain masked, and at moderate or high levels those must be N95, KN95, or KF94 masks. The hall has good ventilation and easy access to the outdoors so it's easy to step outside for air; any refreshments will be available outside. Please arrive early enough to allow time before the dancing starts to show vax cards (or images thereof) and check in. |
Dress: | Casual. We recommend comfortable low-heeled shoes; we insist on non-marking soles to protect the floor. No dress code; many women wear skirts but pants are definitely acceptable. |
Music: | Live music by William Allen, Paul Kostka, James Langdell, Jeanette Langdell, Bill Langdell. Musicians who care to sit in get in free! We must observe these COVID protocols www.bacds.org/COVID/.
