BAERS Second Friday Dance Parties

Dance parties returned from pandemic hiatus on May 13, 2022! Please note that hours have changed.

What: Learn and dance Regency (and other English country) dances to live music in an informal, supportive atmosphere. Dances led by Alan Winston and guest callers.
How Much: A mere $10! (or pay what you can; no-one turned away from dancing for lack of funds)
Where: St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 600 Colorado Avenue (off Middlefield), Palo Alto

Google Maps link to St. Mark's available here; you can use it for driving or transit directions.

Driveway entrance is easy to miss. It's about halfway between Byron and Gaspar, a block and a half from Middlefield.

TRANSIT: The VTA 21 bus has a stop at Colorado and Middlefield, a block and a half away. The busline runs in time to get you there but stops running before the dance ends. If you need a ride back to CalTrain/PA Transit center after the dance we can organize one.
When: 7:45-10:00 p.m., second Fridays, September through November, and January through July. (Doors open 7:15, dancing at 7:45, please arrive early to check-in.)
COVID Safety: Our coproducing partners, BACDS, have established these requirements for attendance. Please read for current status and safety requiremetns.

Summary (but please read at link above): Must be fully vaccinated (including one booster), no recent positive test, no symptoms, not live with anyone who has a recent positive test or symptoms, promise to tell us if you test positive withina week after the event, provide contact info so we can notify you if there was a potential exposure. The hall has good ventilation and easy access to the outdoors so it's easy to step outside for air; any refreshments will be available outside.
